Ange Pottin is currently a postdoctoral researcher working on the INNORES project. In 2022, he defended a dissertation in philosophy entitled Fertile Matter: Radioactive Residue, Fissile Capital and the Imaginary Ecology of the Nuclear Industry, a work in which he analyzed the politics, imaginaries and conceptual histories of the French spent nuclear fuel management policy since the 1950s. Before that, Ange has studied philosophy and history of science in France, at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris – where he was also part of the faculty in 2021-2022 – and at the Université de Paris. Earlier in 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre français de recherches en sciences sociales in Prague. From a methodological standpoint, his work stands at the corner between STS, philosophy of technology (especially Marx’s and Simondon’s) and historical epistemology.
